Thank you in the mail

Today's mail brought a very nice thank you card, note, and picture of DS2's coworkers in the scarves I knit for him to give to them for Christmas.

It is so much fun to give a gift to someone who is not expecting anything.

The ladies all look nice in their scarves. I made them all and set them out on the kitchen table before Christmas and let DS choose which one went to which coworker. It looks like he did a good job.

I decided I had to post the note they sent.

So many times we gift our knitted treasures to family and friends who expect a handmade gift. These scarves were the only items I knit for gifts this Christmas. I think over the course of the year I have to knit a "gift stash" and watch for people whose Christmas next year might be brightened by a surprise gift.

I'm proud that DS2's coworkers think so highly of him.

DS1 works for our family business. Just last week I received an email from a customer stating pretty much the same thing about him.

I had the opportunity to meet Ryan, and am very pleased in the way he explained the work he performs. I am very picky with certain projects that are being done on my house lately, and Ryan was very willing to make certain corrections that I has asked for. I am sure you are very proud to have a son like him. Happy New Year.

I am proud of both of them!

The ladies sure look happy in their scarves. Isn't it nice to be able to be so proud of your kids?
